Air Fryer Loaded Egg Salad Sandwiches


Ingredients:


6 large eggs

4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup celery, finely chopped

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

2 tablespoons sweet relish

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon dried dill

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon salt

Bread or bagels for serving

Lettuce leaves


Instructions:


To begin, preheat your air fryer to a temperature of 250 degrees, Arrange the eggs in their shells in an even layer in the fryer basket.

Cook the eggs in the air fryer for 20 minutes.

Remove the eggs from the air fryer promptly and submerge them into a bowl filled with water.

Immerse the eggs in the ice bath for about 5 minutes to cool them down.Once cooled, drain the water from the ice bath and proceed to peel the eggs and coarsely chop them. Proceed to peel the eggs and roughly chop them into small pieces.

In a large bowl, stir together the crumbled bacon, chopped celery, mayonnaise, red onion, sweet relish, Dijon mustard, sriracha sauce, dried dill, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, paprika, and salt.

Gently stir the chopped eggs into the mayonnaise mixture until well combined.

Cover the bowl and chill the egg salad in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to 3 days.

To serve, spread the egg salad on bread or bagels and top with lettuce leaves.

Additional Tips:


For a richer flavor, you can use only the yolks of the eggs.

If you don't have an air fryer, boil the eggs in a pot of boiling water for 10-12 minutes.
